Students Have a Blast Learning About Propulsion
Chippewa Middle School 7th graders in Ms. Koepke's class had a "blast" learning about propulsion systems, and even had an opportunity to create one of their own.
At the start of class Ms. Koepke reviewed the concept of propulsion with the students, making sure they had an understanding of how a propulsion system works.
The class also went over the different types of propulsion systems.
It was then time for the students to put on their goggles and head outside to conduct a propulsion experiment.
The students took a small film container filled with vinegar, added baking soda into the cap of the container and then tightly sealed it.
After a few moments, the baking soda and vinegar reacted, exploding out of the container and into the air.
The student were excited to see the concept of propulsion come to life in front of their eyes.
