Chippewa Middle School orchestra students, under the direction of Mr. Dion Morales, are busy preparing for their upcoming concert, meeting for rehearsals each morning before school.

Chippewa Middle School orchestra students had an amazing time participating in the D62/Maine West Orchestra Festival, an annual collaboration among all three District 62 middle schools and Maine West High School. 

Ms. Becka Shipp, the Assistant Director of the City of Des Plaines Public Works and Engineering Department, visited Ms. Alicia Koepke's 6th grade STEM class at Chippewa Middle School.

Chippewa Middle School seventh graders in Ms. Caitlyn Hatta's science class learned how to make dry and wet mount microscope slides. 

For the fourth year in a row dozens of seniors, as well as several community leaders, judged the entries of the D62 annual winter card contest at the Frisbie Senior Center. 

Members of the D62 Education Foundation had a fun time visiting different schools throughout the district and surprising staff members with grants they had applied for earlier in the school year.

District 62's 10-month first through eighth graders were welcomed back to school on August 21, while preschool and kindergartners started school on August 22. 

On Tuesday, August 19 D62 staff members gathered together in the Algonquin Middle School gymnasium to kick off the 2025-2026 school year!
